PDF Reports

QR Mobile Data allows you to create pdf report based on the completed form, include a signature in the report, and e-mail pdf report to the specified addresses. You can include data from the filled out form, as well as item's custom fields in the PDF report.
The format / layout of PDF report is based on your template file, that should be done in MS Word .docx format. You can upload / change / delete template file by clicking on the Upload / Download / Delete button in the Report Template column on the Manage Mobile Forms page.

How To Create A Template File For PDF Reports

• A template file should be a MS Word document in .docx format. Important: the document should not have nested tables - use one level tables only!
• Use the following tags to insert record header information:
  • {{Item ID}} - to be replaced with the ID of the item for which this record was created
  • {{Item Name}} - to be replaced with the name of the item for which this record was created
  • {{Date}} - date and time when this record was completed
  • {{Location}} - GPS location of the record completion, if available
• To insert item custom fields in the report, place names of the custom fields, spelled exactly as in QR Mobile Data, with prefix p:: in double braces ({{}}) where you want a value for this custom field to be inserted.
  
  Example:
  Customer: {{p::Customer}}
  
  {{p::Customer}} will be replaced with the actual value of the Customer field for this item.
  
  Note: custom fields of type image/pdf will not be included.
• To insert form data in the report, place names of the form fields, spelled exactly as in QR Mobile Data, with prefix f:: in double braces ({{}}) where you want a value entered in this field to be inserted.
  
  Example:
  Description: {{f::Description}}
  
  {{f::Description}} will be replaced with the actual description entered in the form.
• Place tag {{signature::width}} where you want signature to be inserted, where width is desired width of the signature image.
  Example: {{signature::150}}
  If signature image is more than 150px width it will be scaled proportionally to fit 150px width.
• For the form fields of type image, specify the desired width of the image - the image will be scaled to match the specified width. For example, if a name of the image field is Photo, and you want an inserted photo to have a width of 400 px, insert this in the .docx template:
  {{f::Photo::400}}
• Important: Signature or image file should be the only replacement tag in the table cell or paragraph.

Repeatable Sections

To insert repeatable sections data in the report:

• Insert a table, with the header showing field names, and a second row showing how each line of data should be formatted
• Use placeholder {{line::FIELD_NAME}} in each cell to display corresponding data, where FIELD_NAME is name of the form field, spelled exactly as in QR Mobile Data. Example: {{line::Description}}, where Description is the name of the form field.
• If you want to insert an image, include image width in pixels after field name, like this {{line::FORM_FIELD::80}}. Example: {{line::Photo::80}}
